IMoMA

What is a Minfluencer?

With Social Media dominating the way we do business on the internet, we took a closer look at how it works. Anyone who has ‘influence’ over a specific target audience is considered to be an ‘Influencer.’ In these cases they usually boasts thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, even millions of followers. They create weekly, if not daily content that is both intriguing and inspiring. Many companies seek out such Influencers and compensate them for promoting their products to their audiences/followers. So we have combined Miniature, with Influencer, and created ‘Minfluencer.’

Social Media has created thousands of new artists who are showcasing their work on such platforms as Instagram and TikTok. We decided to contact some of these artists, specifically the ones with exceptional content, a creative spirit, a love for minis, and a large viewer following, and invite them to be special guests at our upcoming IMoMA events. Our goal is to help build up each other’s socials to help our minfluencers get bigger, better brand deals in the mini world, all while pumping up MiniCON. We have seen this cross-promotion work to build each other’s audience time after time, and we have fun doing it. We feel that together, we can help promote the ever growing world of miniatures, as well as the IMoMA MiniCon.

It is great to see so many new talented miniature artists on Social Media, but it’s even better to be able to meet them in person! Rubbing shoulders with your favorite miniature artists, taking one of their classes and learning some new skills, or meeting some of your favorite Minfluencers during their timed appearances are just a few reasons why we feel our show concept is helping to lead us into a more connected future. The ability to purchase pieces directly from the artists, learn about the piece, or simply socializing with them in person will create the ultimate miniature event!
